Bucks County Divorce Records
Bucks County divorce records are records managed primarily by the Prothonotary’s Office that contain the details of a divorce case. Divorce cases are handled by the Family Court Division of the Court of Common Pleas and may be contested or uncontested.
Divorce records typically contain initial complaints/petitions, child custody and support information, settlement agreements, alimony details, hearing transcripts, and the divorce decree. Most divorce information is generally public, although sensitive/confidential case details are accessible only to the parties involved or other authorized persons.
Individuals can access a divorce record in person at the Prothonotary’s Office or by mailing a written request to the office. For a divorce decree, the request should state the names of both parties involved, include the requester’s valid ID, and include a $6.25 payment. Docket information may be accessed online via the Bucks County Web Viewer.
